Started my slasher marathon today. Prom Night fucking sucks. Why does this seem to have a better reputation than Terror Train? Prefer the latter by quite a bit.

 

My queer marathon is starting with Freddy’s Revenge tonight

 

Welp, didn’t expect the opening 15 minutes of silent night deadly night to be the most traumatizing thing I’ve ever seen in a slasher movie.

finally watched Synchronic, the latest from Benson and Moorhead. really good film with a fun mix of sci-fi and horror, with a great performance from Anthony Mackie. as always with their movies the direction is the real standout, although they still haven't touched Resolution for me I always know their next movie will be beautifully made, funny, spooky and touching in varying ratios

 

I really enjoyed Resolution and Spring - haven't seen The Endless and didn't even know about Synchronic tbh but I'll always check their stuff out

 

you will definitely enjoy The Endless if you like Resolution! I won't say any more but I'd recommend going in blind, it's a ride

 

The Endless is my favorite from them. Great flik.

Joe Bob Briggs showing Spookies last Friday was so great, whatever a shit hole of a film but I absolutely love it.

 

Love Spookies so much. Apparently this week is VHS week, two of the most "infamous direct-to-video" releases (one from the 80s and another from the 90s) and Darcy says the second movie is so insufferably awful that she's sending out Iron Man certificates to those who make it through the whole thing. I have no idea what to expect, but I'm pumped
