God, it's like the Beyoncé was lipsynching the national anthem shit again. Why does it fucking matter if Brit was lipsynching in the carpool segment? It's annoying.

 

I've read criticism that the album doesn't have a message of empowerment or anything political and it's just about sex or whatever but dang am I the only one sick of watered down messages and tired cliches from popstars? Sometimes I just wanna jam and dgaf about a "deeper message" that most of the time isn't even that deep or poignant to begin with. Sometimes I just wanna dance and belt in my car!

I can't think a of song of hers that's political or has a message, closest would maybe be Lucky Overprotected or Stronger, she's still fab and meaningful though obviously

 

Yeah it seems like most of her messages revolve around the paps and overexposure which is her reality even if it's not a relatable problem lol. And she def has lots about moving on and getting over sucky guys which I enjoy. She's never going to have in depth confessional songs about what she went through around 2007 which I think some ppl are holding out for. When she talks about getting "personal" in songs she's usually referring to songs about her exes or family or something but I don't ever expect her to divulge into her life that deeply.

True!! I forget what a celeb u are. I actually do think some of her pap/celebrity songs are relatable like Mona Lisa and Kill the Lights!!

Idk but have you ever heard her masterpiece Dramatic where she says "baby fuck you" and calls him a mommas boy and implies she wouldn't do anal with him but she will with her new guy? It's a career highlight!

I was listening to the album with my sister and she did a double take and clutched her pearls at it lol. Swearney is upon us!

 

Loving this so far! Some of the production is bad (Clumsy sounds like a kazaa rip to me), but some great Brit tunes here!!and LOL at people wanting a deep meaning from Britney songs. She sings about getting laid, dancing, and having fun. Can we not have her giving us a political agenda please? Just wanna dance.

i have a TON of music catching up to do.... doing pop today. Album's decent. It's very rare for me to find a pop album that i like top to bottom, as there's always much much filler, and unfortunately this album's no different. All I look for are 2-4 gems, that's it.

Clumsy? Ur tripping! One of the weakest tracks, should've been replaced by Mood Ring imo!!

 

wow at her calling Selena a Spanish baby

 

Not the queen of my life hitting the queen of my pet peeves, confusing Latinos with spaniards!! Hate that. It was so random and had nothing to do with what she was talking about. Word vomited all up in there.


On the real tho I think Selena will be thrilled to hear that (not the Spanish baby part obv) cause she's a massive fan and her career is def very brit inspired.
