That jogged the memory of Jeff Martin (vocals) & Steve Padin (drums) releasing a pretty good record a couple years after This Day & Age broke-up (can't seem to find it on Spotify):

    The Bled
    Bloodhound Gang (pre Hefty Fine)
    Brandtson
    Downtown Singapore
    FA2A

I could do this all day. All the good bands from 15 years ago that fanished as quickly as they appeared.

Emanuel’s debut is one of my favorite albums ever…hence the avatar choice. They were in an out within 3 years.

  19. Hopefully The Sleeping's reunion leads to new music this time... same for The Bled. I just miss Doug's voice. I remember reading about a new project of his after he left Night Verses, but I guess it never came to fruition?

Damn, I’ve just noticed their only album has finally made it on to Apple Music. It’s been at least 9 years since I’ve spun this. Used to be a huge fan of these guys.

It is a great album, but I also liked the dark and more mature sound of Black Earth Tiger. It took a few listens when it first came out since it was such a drastic turn from their first album, but man so much emotion in that album. You could tell the singer was breaking down internally during that. Which is why I guess we never got a follow up. I think there was basically no response to the album either.
