While I’m really excited for how heavy this EP will be, I really hope there are some catchy chorus or clean parts that made the first EP so special. The audio details with shotguns loading, zombies groaning, people running, would be amazing to get that as well. Not to mention the killer synth found in Escape.

 

I actually hope they don't do use the sound fx of the shotguns loading, zombies groaning, people running, etc.

I am excited to see how Jeremy's vocals are integrated throughout this EP though! He's only getting stronger and stronger (as a vocalist) on each record they release.

 

There are some cleans and it has its catchy moments for sure

 

There isn’t much - just “termination” and there’s a subtle “run” right before a breakdown on the final track

I wonder if they plan to release another single before this thing drops. I kind of want them to but I kind of would rather wait since there are only 4 more songs left... life... life is hard.

 

They’ll be playing the whole thing live next week so I doubt it

Wow. Both songs have exceeded my expectations. Exactly what I was looking for in a follow up to the first EP.

Nightfall is so effing heavy. Exited to listen to the EP as a whole and have some of the moments start to stick in my head a little bit more. The heaviness has been insane, I’m hoping for some clean vocal hooks somewhere as well. So far the “vibe” of this EP is spot on zombie.

 

yeah I've come to the conclusion that this is better than the first Zombie EP

 

Can I ask for a summarized reason why?

 

musically it's heavier and more focused - the lyrical nature is better as well. I love the first Zombie EP and it fucking rules still but this is an example of the band at its very best.

Wow - they sounded incredible during this livestream and HOT DAMN the rest of the EP rips. I love the original EP but I agree with Drew - this looks to be even stronger.

Out of the remaining unreleased three ZII tracks - this is my ranking:

Forlorn > Contagion > Nora

They’re all good and I can’t wait for the actual release next Friday. Bless.
