Just saw a post on Instagram that apparently somebody thought it was actually sold out and bought a pass for 3x more from a reseller.

    If that’s real... Fucking ooooof.

My big wants for tomorrow are Motion City Soundtrack, The Wonder Years, and The Maine, all of which I think are reasonable.

My biggest want is really just more 90s or earlier punk. The line up so far is kind of lacking in that area.

Actually all I want tomorrow is a Saturday headliner with absolutely zero appeal to me so I can go see Ben Folds in Ravinia lmao

Under this comment Riot Fest responded with “LOL”. When I went back to screen shot it the comment was deleted. I think we’re in for a big one.

The PRB comment? Or the Billie Joe one?

    Green Day confirmed either way

I don't know if it necessarily means a "big one," but I'd read that to mean there's going to be some overlap in the line-ups. Which would be really awesome.

EDIT: But also, maybe it is a big one. In which case... Yeah. I'm not gonna say it. But there's like, one option at this point.

The PRB one. Just an odd comment to make on their behalf.

I just spent way too much time listening to/watching that stupid video for any hints.

    11:00 AM?

    Incubus confirmed

EDIT: wait holy shit. It’s the 20th anniversary of Morning View, the album which that song is from...

...did I just accidentally confirm an album-play?...

Why are we thinking Green Day's confirmed? Sorry if I missed it somewhere.

Can it please be a big one along with a lot of PRB overlap? That would be ideal for me.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. I would love for more 90s punk, hardcore, and/or ska. Or relatively current bands playing a similar style. But a "big one" / a surprise reunion would be pretty dope too! Just trying not to get too greedy, hah.

I just hope it's the bands of that era that I like. I always get bummed when it's like, Pennywise and the Offspring. Mostly because the sets tend to be the same every time and I've seen so many festival sets from them over the years.

In thinking on it too, there's a few Chicago-based bands I'd be into seeing reunite for a "rare" show at Riot Fest: The Methadones, Allister, and Showoff. In order of want. Hah.

I’ve actually gotten to see all three of those Chicago bands. I think that your order of want for them is also probably the order of likelihood. I feel like Riot could get the Methodones to play relatively easily and they definitely fit into the types of Chicago bands they used to book all the time. I feel like Alister plays every once in a while (I even got to see them do all of dead ends and girlfriends at a tiny venue). But I only remember Showoff reuniting once a few years ago and they just opened for MXPX.

Edit: I actually forgot that The Methadones had a show set for last summer that they had to cancel. Maybe they will just play Riot Fest instead if they really want to play a show. I wouldn’t be opposed to a stage of older not as active Chicago punk bands.

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

My last minute prediction is Muse. Their second album Origin of Symmetry is 20 years old this year, which would be a rad album play, They also release albums every 3 years and they’re due for a new one in 2021.
