He’s one player I’ve never got the hype over. I remember when we signed Maguire everyone was pissing themselves because Soyuncu was better. He reminds me of Bailly.

This thread is very good and I have to say I agree mostly, except I would get rid of Mikel and get in Rangnick.

 

Think the current most impactful Arsenal player is wearing a Newcastle shirt on a weekly basis...

I’d rather have Lamptey

 

To be fair whenever he played for us in the league he was shite. He was very good in the EL though. Think this has been very good for his progress, and whether we get good money for him or he comes back, I think it’s been a hugely successful loan.

 

I’d take Potter if it meant we could make it a triple swoop and pick up Lamptey and Ben White. I think White and Rodon would be a good start to rebuilding our CBs. We’d still need to add a high caliber player on top of White though.

Tanganga has also shown some promise. Not sure which position he’s best at, but he can contribute at CB and RB.

 

Is it 3-5-2 Potter plays currently? How would Spurs squad fit into that, hypothetically?

He was very inconsistent with us to start. I think he scored on his debut, but then we had one of our customary terrible runs and he vanished a bit. He's settled down now though and seems to be one of our few bright sparks. Not bad when you consider that he's a creative player, in a relegation threatened team who are a complete mess. We didn't sign him with any buy clause though, so what we've basically done is shop window him for you.

Got a Wednesday supporting friend who has gone and hidden in Orkney to avoid it.
