My friend needs off work today so I picked up his shift. They denied me picking up the shift and then told him to get it covered or he's fired. Everyone that can cover it works today.

 

I'm having a day. My sister had made a post on FB about why her husband doesn't have an epi-pen. (Cost, obviously). I'm a licensed EMT and allowed to administer one. I commented on her status about how on our ambulance we are switching to IM injections out of a vial instead of the pen. (Cost is $5.00 vs $600.00) Just a suggestion for her to check in to.

My aunt, who after my Mom died, has been awful to me. (So many bad things after my Mom died) She does nothing but bad mouth me and give me snarky remarks..commented pointing out that I shouldn't be giving out medical advice or changing things (i mentioned our ambulance was changing things) because I think i know better because I don't have an MD behind my name.

Correct, I do not. But every single thing I do to care for my patients IS regulated by an MD. I can't just go rogue and do whatever I want.

Her daughter is an athletic trainer, who I've heard on multiple occasions, give out advice no problem. And my aunt praises her like she IS a doctor.

Ughhh. It's too early in the day to be in such a bad mood.

 

I've got tickets to a baseball game tomorrow that I wanted to take my daughter to, but of course she's with her mom this weekend and she was supposed to let me know yesterday if she would let me take her and of course she hasn't texted me or responded to any of my texts or calls as per usual

If she can't go I need to know so I can invite someone else. I regret ever having met this girl.

 

It's always infuriating when people think "be yourself" is like the gold standard of dating advice. Not everyone is created equal and sometimes "yourself" is the human equivalent of a urine soaked pillow case.

Telling Adam Scott to be himself is wonderful advice because he's adorable and hilarious and charming. Telling Brock Turner to be himself, however, make you an accomplice to a crime.

Be more discerning with your lazy clichés, is the point.

 

I'm really frustrated with how my friends treat me because of me having a different lifestyle than them.

Today my friends wanted to go to the bar to drink and I said "no thanks guy but have fun" and they started calling me a buzz kill and no fun because I never go out according to them. They started talking down on me because to them all I do is stay at home and play video games and never go out.

I actually like staying home plus I do go out all the time. I like to go to the movies every Tuesday and sporting events any chance I can get. It's just what I consider fun is a lot different to my friends and I wish they understand that. I attempt to hang out with them every weekend but every weekend they prefer to go out to the bars so I always end up leaving early from the hangs. I just wish they be cool with the fact that we have different lifestyles and that's perfectly fine without belittling me for my life choices.

 

I feel you there. It's tough to not be a big drinker or bar hopper when that's what everyone else is doing. I think I'm getting to the age where my peers are drinking less and wanna do other things finally and I'm so happy haha cause I'm always considered the buzzkill uptight one of the group. But like, all those things you listed they could totally still drink if that is something they're set on doing. People need to mix it up more! Like if someone wants to go to the bars that's fine but dang you can do other things too sometimes!

 

I know and that's what I've been trying to tell them. I wanted my friends to join me to watch some baseball tonight since a pitcher from the Giants was pitching but they wanted to go to some bar and drink and I was super bummed. Last week they wanted me to join them to go to some friends house for a party and like they were there until 2 am drinking and I was like "you guys are crazy especially since you just want me as a DD."

They also love attending the local venues every Saturday to go drink and "try" to go hit on females and I'm like friends pls we can do other cool things. It feels like the only time we hang out is getting food together or when I go watch some sports at one of their houses.

 

I guess what I don't get is that someone can drink at a bar anytime, but sporting events or other things like that are more unique and not something you can do every old weekend so I don't get their mindset at all. Come join my Get Better Friends club!!

 

I think it probably stems from sporting events beer being more expensive than bars. I think they go to this certain bar that has beer for $2 while at a baseball game that same beer is $8.

also I am joining this club so much. Do I bring drinks or snacks? Is there a dress code? Kiana pls I need details.

 

It's a great club where people respond to texts in timely manners and also meet on time. All food and beverages are appreciated especially if the food is covered in cheese. We prob don't want me in charge of a dress code otherwise everyone would end up in some weird sparkly space cadet boots so we'll dress like it's casual Fridays!

wow I call second in command to this club that one day turns into the kiana cult. It sounds like the best kind of club. I'll bring the cheese fries because that's all I'm thinking about right now.

 

Got sick of my friends calling me "liberal sjw" because I don't find their racism and ignorance amusing so I blocked them all and decided I'm done. Its 2016, adapt or gtfo. I'm not spending my free time hanging out with them and being miserable anymore.

 

Just got bailed on yet again. At this point, I'm not even surprised anymore. Now I have less than 2 weeks to find someone to go to this show with me. And this really upsets me because I've been going through so much shit and am having the worst depressive episode I've had since fucking high school and as silly as it sounds, that show is the only thing I've really had to look forward to. Hopefully I can find someone to go or I'm out a shit ton of money since I paid for our tickets, etc. up front...

 

I have so much stuff to do for work and I don't think I'll be able to do it all by tomorrow but I need to. I'm probably gonna have a stress dream tonight and maybe go in early tomorrow even tho I stayed late today and yesterday. Not a fan.

 

If it's storming and I'm walking out your food and you don't tip me, I should be able to walk the fuck back inside and make you come get it.

 

Found a largw plastic object in my burrito from taco bell today. Kinda not happy about it haha

 

why is Yelp sending out push notifications to my phone at 4:30am in the morning to go check out this week's hottest new restaurant like ya sure I'm always down for food but i'm pretty sure all that's open is Denny's rn.

 

damn I really want a burrito now.
