They still haven’t fixed it lol

Pokemon Snap was my first N64 game and my least played one. Just never understood the appeal of taking fake photos, but I'm a little curious how the new one shakes things up

Pokemon Snap was just wonderful but the thing is for me a not insignificant part of it was how incredible it was to see those characters in 3d for the first time. There isn't much from the games of my childhood that I feel like the games of today can't or don't do, but that was something so special about the n64/ps1 era that will never come back. Still interested in the new one but I know being an adult isn't the only reason it's not going to be the same kind of magic.

If it was just the mons from Gen 1 and Gen 2 I'd buy it in a heart beat. My nostalgia for Pokemon completely ends there. I do not know the pokemon after that and most of the ones I've seen seem ridiculous.

  7. Pokemon snap is about replaying the same courses and getting better and better scores in your pictures. I played the N64 version non stop in college trying to one up myself and friends.

It's also a perfect game to pick up for ten mins then go do something else. I don't have time to play games for an hour at a time.

I will say Gen 1,2 and 3 were the best but some of the new ones are alright. I recently heard a good explanation that fits why I don’t like a lot of the new gens designs.

“They look less like creatures and more like characters”

Hot take: All generations are good generations.

New Pokémon Snap is going to be great and will be a great addition for Pokémon fans.

I got surprisingly far with him the first time I fought him and then did terribly on my like second and third runs against him.

It's all about the builds and how well you do until you get to him and I just kept messing up for some reason.

I am liking it so far. Very odd game but surprisingly satisfying. Unfortunately Ive gotten to a point where Ive got nothing to do but wait but I suppose thats the point.

I felt the same but I bought Pokemon Shield and had a lot of fun being a Pokemon trainer again even though I didn't know any of the Pokemon. I still knew all my types and whatnot. Give the new gens a chance!

And they’re still somehow better than a lot of what we got from newer gens.

Eggecute is cool. It's more like seeds because it evolves into a tree. So it gets a pass from me. I was going to defend Voltorb and Electrode but I just checked my cards and it is indeed a "ball pokemon", which admittedly is lame. Still not as awful as the ice cream cone or the chandelier.

I just googled stupid pokemon designs and there's actually some that are even worse >-p

I’m pretty sure those Pokemon aren’t “lazy” or uncreative but actually references to Yōkai and/or Shintoism

New gens are mostly fine, I think it's likely that we're just initially biased against them because of nostalgia. Some of the ones in Shield were really cool. Boltund was my dude.
