I miss it so much

 

20th anniversary next Tuesday. Recorded an episode yesterday for it (along with my brother). If you guys listen to my podcast then this is certainly one you’re gonna enjoy when it’s released Monday morning!

 

This is pretty funny, but still one of my favorite Margo roles ever.

I love Adrian Tomine. Hopefully this is good & gets some people who aren’t normally into comics to check out his work.

 

Could there ever be another Paul Verhoeven, in terms of using big-budget blockbusters to satirize right-wing America? It feels like there are way too many people watching the production process nowadays to allow any deviation from the norm.

Also, I think he is tied with Steven Spielberg (Jaws and Jurassic Park for Spielberg, Robocop and Starship Troopers for Verhoeven) for film franchises that miss the point of the original.

 

I feel like Blumhouse is probably the only company that would let that happen but their movies aren’t big budget, just big profit.

Shows like Young Sheldon baffle me because I don't know anyone who watches it but obviously so many people are watching it.

Over the last few days I've watched Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla, and Godzilla: King of Monsters, and they're actually really enjoyable, buuut that's probably because they appeal to the same part of me that finds superhero films entertaining haha
