Reminder that if you want Super Mario 3D All Stars you have until Wednesday and then Nintendo will take it off the eShop and no more shipments to stores.

 

I still find it hard to believe it won't be sold again. Seems like such a weird business move.

 

Yeah, the 3 will be probably sold for $20 each on the eshop at some point. Stores will likely still have hard copies and download cards for the game in stock for some months afterward so people will still have a chance for a while, but there’s no way they leave out people who get their first switch this coming holiday season.

 

Same thing that Disney does where they'll bring things out of the vault on anniversaries

 

How is multiplayer for monster hunter? Is it different than prior games where you can team up to take down monsters in the usual battle style? I saw some footage for it that looked different than what I’m used to seeing from the older games

Yeah they said in the presentation it's coming early next year

 

I know, I was just surprised that all the preorders have it listed between december 31st and january 4th but I don’t preorder things so I assume that’s normal

 

I'm surprised they made it December 31, 2021 and not 2022. But yeah it actually is normal for there to be a placeholder date like that when something is just confirmed for a year and not a specific day.

 

Started bravely default 2 the other day so far I like it
Also just spend 162.69 on the no more heroes collectors edition bundle from limited run games, aka rip money

 

Managed to get the grip of BD2 with the jobs and story etc. Getting a handle on switching jobs to gain mastery and for specific fights which i tend not to do in JRPGs but i'm still looking forward to playing the rest.

Struggled for years to get into Monster Hunter but MHR seems to correct a lot of the problems I’ve had with the series and is enjoyable so far

 

my brother got me a $50 gift card for the e-shop for my birthday and i'm not quite sure what to use it on, i'm thinking maybe i'll use it on Monster Hunter! (and just pay the remaining $10)
i've never really played a MH game; apart from briefly messing around with one on the PSP years ago one day (it was my brothers copy/console)

What Mario games are officially leaving Nintendo today? And are any worth grabbing before they go?

 

Mario 3D All-Stars (Switch compilation of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy)

and

Super Mario Bros 35 is going offline permanently, meaning there is nothing to be played.

 

Also Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light is going to be removed.
