Pretty pissed, I preordered Crash 4 for tomorrow and realised I didn't get a shipping notification. Looked at the account and there's no confirmed date for physical copies. There was no indication on the site that it would be delayed when I placed the order. I'll probably cancel and just download it from the eshop now.

Has anyone tried Apex yet? It looks reaaaaal cruddy, but it would be cool to play it on the Switch.

Random question, does anyone have a TV stand with a fireplace insert, and would it wreck my Switch and other consoles from the heat?

Will your consoles be in an opening right above the fireplace insert or on top of the unit? Either way, I think you’ll be perfectly fine, unless the heat is for some reason directed at your stuff.

Good point, I think the consoles would be fine. But now I wonder how the TV itself will withstand it :-p

Haha, the TV will be fine. My parents have been using the same TV on top of a unit like that for probably 6-7 years now, and my mom has the fireplace on constantly because she’s always cold lol

I tried it one night last week. Hadn’t played it before on any other console so I didn’t get a kill the entire time I played lol. Graphics seemed fine. I definitely wasn’t distracted by them or anything.

I’m debating on downloading Apex for switch but I wasn’t a big fans of it on PS4. Might try to again to see how it holds

apex played fine i just don't think it's for me, fortnite is very similar and way more simplified. The sliding is really fun, knocking people down is pretty satisfying, but there were just too many different elements that I don't feel like learning all about lol
so many weapons and mods for weapons and specific character abilities and like 4 different in game currencies

I find Fortnite far more complicated than Apex with all of the building and whatnot.

Really stuck on the fence with Bravely Default 2. Never played a BD game before (so unsure if I need to play the others) but a good JRPG on the Switch that's not Zelda, Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest is something I definitely need right now

Don’t play Apex on Switch if you have another option, those games are hard enough as it is without slowdowns getting in your way while fighting

Yeah I can’t imagine playing it on the switch. Esp cuz it plays even better on my PS5 v my 4.

Is it true that the bosses in BOTW are somewhat optional and that it should still be a blast through open world exploration, even if I've sucked at literally every Zelda game I've ever played? The game is so gorgeous but I feel like I'd end up putting it down in frustration, idk. Could never get very far in Ocarina or TP

The point of fighting the bosses is that it both gives you more story and helps make the fight against the final boss easier. If you want to fight the final boss without any assistance from the Divine Beasts, you can do that.

Yes, but also the dungeons and bosses are way different and way less work

fwiw I'm really enjoying it and haven't played either of the previous BD games. There is a lot of grinding though

I started it last night but only managed like an hour. It at least looks great. Don't mind the grind if the gameplay is worth it but i'll definitely be here for the long run, i think.

The in-game currencies really aren't complicated. I would however recommend to anyone to never get sucked into caring about cosmetics.
