More news posts about POC artists and less about abusers please. I was browsing the news posts and there seems to be a severe lack of coverage of POC/hip hop artists, and that space could be used to cover them instead of abusers.

 

I won’t go into it here, but after dealing with him on AP all of those years, I was just over it.

He talks a lot but his administrative actions in here do not really support those stances, is all. Banning problem posters is cool, but it doesn’t mean much when your news feed is littered with problematic people, as has been brought up in here.

 

He was in this thread as recently as last night, and unless he has you blocked, he should be able to see your posts as well

 

I’m aware, and it’s all good. Like I said he’s not a bad guy, I just find him grating.

I browse that thread way more than I've posted in there, but I check out stuff in there and do read the conversations. I'll try and post more in there!

 

There’s always talk of disclaimers or something of the sort and things are always “being discussed” but nothing ever, ever comes of it. The world keeps turning. Just don’t let people forget who they’re supporting.

 

reading the excerpts screen-shot from IG dm's is enough to validate that this guy is definitely a shitty scumbag and definitely a 'not all men' kinda guy. very little that comes out revolving around this band is surprising anymore.

I agree that problematic artist still being posted on here is a really bad and ultimately harmful look...but saying that the backlash around Brand New was damage control is absolutely ridiculous

 

Does Phoebe still rep Pinegrove? I haven’t seen her post about them since before the pandemic so I feel (or hope is a better word) that she realized it wasn’t a good look and stopped supporting them. I think it’s perfectly okay to hold her accountable for promoting them but if she’s stopped doing it then I don’t think she falls in line with someone we need to stop posting about on here.

Edit: If I missed her promoting them recently/since the pandemic then please let me know.

I think Pinegrove might be the only other one, but otherwise you're right, it hasn't happened to anyone else.
