I haven't seen any official statement from the band of who is singing currently

 

He’s replied to several people saying he’s working on the new Emarosa record, so not looking good

I don’t mean to come off as shitting on OnlyFans, just was something I assumed he was doing to make money now if he were kicked out of the band.

I sat on this for literal years but after seeing them get positively compared to ADTR after ADTR's allegations came up, my very real and ongoing concerns for my personal safety seem to pale in comparison to that reality.

If you have a problem with abuse apologism or gaslighting or men in bands who are okay with other men being rapists, you shouldn't support Teenage Wrist.

I'm super annoyed at the whole "hey adtr makes music I don't like as much as the old stuff so I'm out too!" Like, it's ok to learn a guy in band is a shithead and take a step back for a minute to decide how to feel about it and process things. It's sad that a radio ready rock album got a ton of backlash from their own fanbase but the bassguys continued support, promotion, and accounts of abuse barely turns heads

 

It starts with websites like this. There are so many bands and musicians out there who don’t have abusers in them, and music websites like this one and AltPress should be devoting coverage to those bands and musicians instead. If it can happen to some artists on here (Pinegrove), it can happen to all of them. Posting anything other than news about the abuse so people are aware just shows that these bands are okay to listen to if news publications are posting normally about them.

 

ADTR made the chorus list for most anticipated albums of 2021 when it was posted. That was a little eh

 

Wasn’t there discussion in the MGK thread about having some sort of TW/note when posting about abusers/their bands? Obviously nothing came of that but if bands like ADTR are going to continue to be posted, that should definitely be a thing.

 

Someone who doesn’t have him blocked could PM Jason maybe, but I doubt that would change anything since he’s had years to add something similar and hasn’t. At least we’d maybe get some sort of fix that way, even if it is an option to block certain artists in the news feed

 

Why would we have Jason blocked?

 

I have him blocked. I was saying if someone who can stand him enough to not have him blocked, wants to talk to him, that could be one route to at least figure out why there is no warning or method to ignore those types of news posts at all.

Especially when a large portion of the time, he’s the one posting the news with problem artists

 

Why do you continue to support the site at all if you have a fundamental issue with the person who profits from it?

 

I mean, how is it different from supporting an artist you have a fundamental problem with?

I mean, some people have long time friends that may still frequent here. Maybe they like certain crowds. Maybe they prefer this forum over others.

I don’t like a lot of people that created certain sites (twitter is a good one) but I still use them.

Just because Jason is an idiot and a hypocrite doesn’t mean I don’t think it is a good place for people to come together and discuss things.

I wouldn’t even go so far as to say Jason is a bad person at all. I just disagree with him and find his way of being condescending very grating. I got sick of him saying one thing and doing the opposite, so I blocked him.

However, I stand somewhat corrected on my news comment. I thought more people than just Jason posted news, but it looks like he posts all of the news except for some reviews and some lists.

You don’t need to stop talking, it’s a valid question, and one I have asked myself, if I’m being honest.

 

I mean personally I don’t block anyone on this site. I get people have their reasons, but when people post problematic stuff I like to remember their username. Also I’ve never seen Jason be a hypocrite, and I also don’t go on the news page. Keep in mind the first year or so this site didn’t have a news section.
