like i said in another post, i wouldn’t be surprised if she was referring to something that got edited out when the release schedule got shifted. it’s either that or she’s trolling like bettany before he said anything.

 

I assume he means that when she was asked if there's a "Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian" style cameo, she said yes.

Super weak finale. I think the first 7 episodes of this are easily the best thing Marvel Studios' has done, it's a bummer it ended as a worse looking, typical super hero fighting nonsense. I feel like nothing was really answered or resolved

Also not really a complaint but I didn't think it was possible to have a bad drone shot until I saw that final zoom in on Wanda, that looked janky as hell

Rewatched Winter Soldier on a whim, forgot the post credits scene is the first we see of Wanda

I can't believe people are upset that a superhero show ended in a superhero battle lmao like wtf did you guys expect

Yeah this messed with me the most. I'd understand if he didn't have his memories... But why is he ditching the love of his life? Does Wanda even know he's back?

 

they talked about how “different” the tv slate was gonna be and how it was a place for experimentation. it’s a small sample size, sure, but this falling into many of the same tropes of the films is absolutely going to make people bristle against it

 

If you don't think that this show was a place for experimentation when comparing to other MCU properties, I really don't understand how you can come to that conclusion just because of one episode

I’m 4 episodes in but it’s pretty clear from the jump that it doesn’t really know how to handle the “experimental” textures it’s attempting, they work fine as a surface level sheen but it doesn’t really have a strong command of anything. It’s fine. It’s just not “weird”, it’s “weird for the MCU”. This isn’t a powerful example of artistic visual language, it’s a superhero show.

oh, i fully agree. my anticipation was set too high. i was buying into what they were saying before we saw the product. that’s on me for sure. but it’s hard to look at what we got as anything other than a worse version of the same

 

They stuck to the sitcom trope for literally the entire series except for maybe two episodes imo. Just because they showed both sides of things didn't mean that at least half of each episode was pretty unique compared to the rest of the MCU

 

There have been about 300 different things driving the speculative conversation and they change weekly. Do you want a personal apology from Paul Bettany for his comments or Teyonah Parris for hers too? Come on.

I mean, I can understand if people go in expecting Twin Peaks experimentation and weirdness and getting what they got being disappointed. But that’s on them.

 

Yeah like I wasn't expecting a mindfuck like Mr. Robot. I knew it'd be different from typical Marvel stuff, but this is still a franchise made for children at its core

 

You say that now because you know they did. But at the time, their comments carried the exact same weight as Elizabeth’s and got the same amount of theories and articles written about them too.

 

I am convinced there are people in this world that need to just stop consuming Marvel content and I don't understand why they keep torturing themselves this way. When The Walking Dead became a torturous endeavor to watch, I just stopped watching it. It's not that hard lol
