He’s only the flagship because Halo took off. That and most of their successful other IPs aren’t character focused, except for Gears. At this point though I don’t really think he his that much of a mascot anymore. His appearance in sizzle reels is just point out that more Halo will happen.

Yeah Halo is by far my favorite video game franchise to play, but I don't find Master Chief to be very interesting. He has an interesting backstory, but beyond that, they kind of gave up developing him. He could have been made into a pretty solid character but I'm glad they took the focus off of him. It irritates me that they didn't keep him dead after Halo 3, that would have been the perfect way for him to go out, and it would have given them the opportunity to create a new, more personal hero.

Infinite seems to be coming along quite nicely though, hopefully the delay pays off.

Apparently a lot of people dislike Gravemind, but I thought he was one of the more interesting aspects of the original trilogy. The moment you see him you are instantly like "where the fuck did this thing come from/what is it"

Been playing Spiritfarer on my game pass. Gotten through the first bit ( Just saw Gwen off) and just really loving the whole experience. The core gameplay loop of running around upgrading your ship so you can build better stuff and get new stuff to upgrade your ship even further is fun enough to hold up on its own, but the relationship stuff with all the characters is just phenomenally done and brings it to a whole new level

Anyone ever used the Xbox cloud gaming on Android thing? Previously xCloud. How is it? I've only just realised I can do it now, and it seems like the best option to have all bases covered with that and a PS5 (when they're available).

 

I used it on my phone to play Halo and it worked really really well.

 

Gonna play through all the Halo campaigns with a friend. Started with Reach. Almost done the campaign and I forgot how fun this game was
