If I were to get a new PC laptop, what would you all recommend?

Depends on what you want to use it for/the features you find most important. PC laptops tend to exist on such an enormous spectrum that it's kind of hard to say, haha.

My dell has been great for 3 years so far. What do you want to do with the laptop?

I've had a Dell for six years and really liked it. The most strenuous activity I do is Civilization. I don't play PC games and I mostly use it just for writing and browsing.

Anyone know a good website that has guides to building PCs? I'd like to know which components work well together and all that jazz. Vaguely considering building a gaming PC rather than breaking the bank on an already built one.

If you're going to just be writing/browsing, I'd recommend a dell chromebook 13. Inexpensive, yet effective at what it does.

If you don't want to cut out your light gaming, the Asus Aspire is a great budget unit that lends itself as a light gaming platform.

For more serious units that are well rounded and future proof, my #2 laptop would be a Lenovo Thinkpad P series, though some people find the thinkpad aesthetic off-putting.

If you want a powerful, versatile machine that will last a long time and can expand to your taste, I can't recommend the Dell XPS series enough. Greatest laptops to date, IMO.

Do any Android users know if it's possible to set your default storage to SD? I have to go through the tedious process of moving all the apps that can be moved to SD every few days, because every time they update they get moved back to the internal storage and I run out of space

My phone is an HTC One e8

What is up with so many streaming services don't allow manual control of the streaming bitrate, seems like the automated algorithms for most of these services outside of like netflix and youtube are utter trash.

Trying to stream WWE network and HBO GO is a near impossible task.

I think they are more worried about there being no break in the stream as opposed to your video quality.

Thats the problem, those quality checks cause stoppage.

Honestly my guess is that's occurring on your device. The adaptive algorithms tend to function pretty similarly and basically every streaming service uses the same method of delivering the data. Transfer rate, hardware, drivers, rendering algorithms, and software implementations imo are likelier sources of performance issues.

Is there an app that can compile videos from various phones and edit together for a single video? My sister is getting married in a few weeks and to cut down on costs they didn't hire a videographer. So if guests could take videos of the ceremony/reception on their phones, is there a way to upload them to a single account and put together?
