Delicate was the most lasting singles on one of the radio stations here. Like still getting consistent play last year kinda deal

 

I hear "Delicate" on the radio a lot even still. I think I heard it last week, actually.

I hate that the radio always play the remix of lover with Shawn Mendes and not the original

 

only acceptable remixes are Bad Blood and Everything Has Changed.

I disagree completely. We’re not really in a climate anymore where third/fourth/fifth singles take off from a dedicated label push, because once the album’s up for streaming there’s no longer a scarcity of product. This makes it hard to create the boost in consumption (beyond music video views) that justifies radio play from analytic-driven stations.

The longevity of “Delicate” on radio actually shows that audiences were responding positively to it, and suggests that if the label team pushed it before the album dropped it would’ve done much better. No way of knowing how it would’ve done relative to LWYMMD because that had a really strong PR element, but you’re really in a hole trying to push a radio single once the music is already out.

 

It really annoys me they took the spelling thing out of ME!, like, the song is already super lame and cheesy, and in attempting to make it less so it actually becomes moreso, and not in a good way.

 

I never listen to the version without "spelling is fun," the empty space there feels weird. I always listen with the single version as part of the album

 

I think I left that version on my computer. Obviously when i listen to it on physical media its the no spelling version.

I've been absolutely obsessed with "London Boy" lately. It's such a lame, cheesy song, but also insanely catchy and the lameness is actually pretty endearing.

 

Truly the most mystifying and joyous thing about Taylor is that even the songs I don’t like, I like. If that makes sense. London Boy being a perfect example.

 

It makes perfect sense lol,she has so many catchy hooks in songs that are kinda terrible but so catchy
