Love the single. Still pretty crazy to me that this album is happening after so long.

If American Football had stuck around and this was say their 7th album or something, his voice would sound like this regardless. So it doesn't really matter.

 

I have tailored trends turned off but I mean I'm sure it's still possible.

 

I'm not so sure about that. I specifically turned off Trending topics and put on Worldwide and American Football is still appearing there.

 

This sounds like they haven't missed a beat. Fantastic! Never, ever expected a reunion never mind new music!

 

Okay, I'm not disputing that lol.

But like... That didn't happen... Instead we got a whole bunch of Owen albums where we heard his voice develop into what it is today, so I'd say it's pretty understandable to associate his current voice with Owen.

 

I some how only got into this band a year ago. Took me a good decade to finally get it.

seen a lot of posts on fb of people being like "it's basically owen" "it's only under the AF name for the hype" stuff like that

 

this is perfect, everything about it. the album cover, the song, everything.

also, they're playing NYC on MY BIRTHDAY! couldn't have asked for anything more than that.

 

Personally I love how Mike's voice has progressed. I think he sounds great on newest Owen record, so I'd expect a similar sound on LP2. (Wow that's still weird to process)

Okay vocally it sounds like Owen but instrumentally this is classic American football.

 

I mean of course it's going to sound like Owen especially since the same guy sings in both but I'm sure the rest of the band brings something different musically than he Owen guys would even if they are similar musically. Why does it matter. You're getting. Good new music.

Guitar tones and parts are perfect. Honestly he's probably a better singer now
