Taking Back Sunday – “You Can’t Look Back”

This is... different

 

I liked when the band ripped off Lifetime and Saves the Day way more than Tom Petty and the Ramones.

 

It's such a jarring change of sound. Its much more natural when a band makes a gradual shift. This feels so forced and phony. If you're gonna completely 180 it better be Kid A status (and this ain't).

 

Reaaaaally not bothered about this band anymore. Love their old stuff but not been interested in the last few releases at all.

Shame because they're all super talented.

 

This song is good. I do feel like they've moved almost entirely away from what I enjoyed about them though

 

Ah, TBS, the one band where we seem to completely disagree every time! No fun in always agreeing anyway I guess! :)

 

song is really awesome. as dude who's 30 and someone whose music interests have drastically changed since i first started listening to this band it is a very welcomed change.

also love that they are just writing what they enjoy and not what people want to hear from them.

not surprised by this sound at all after hearing john's last solo album and adam's single.

 

Happy they went this direction and I like the song and the last one. Then again, the last album did absolutely nothing for me.

Hmm... I liked it... I also love their S/T album.

I'm not your typical TBS fan I guess

 

I prefer the Tom Petty rips. Then again, I love Petty!

 

Much prefer this to the first one they put out... I feel like this isn't really that far removed from Happiness Is

 

Happiness is was so good, high hopes for Tidal Wave. Both tracks are very promising! Really upset that all the good bundles for pre order are sold out welp still stoked on their small clubs tour coming up 8)

 

probably in the bottom tier of songs I like on the album but still enjoyable - again this song along with Tidal Wave aren't truly indicative of what the album sounds like as a whole - a good handful of different influences throughout

 

Talk about divisive.... I liked both of these new songs a fair bit.

 

The last minute or so sounds like classic TBS, dual vocals and all.
