hey does anyone know about what happened with Josh Macintyre of Marmozets? I was just doing random Wikipedia dives and saw that someone changed his status in the band as "grooming of minors/grooming" at the end of December and then I google searched his name and saw the start of a Tweet from September saying he groomed a 16 year old but the poster limited who can look at their Tweets.

Really really dug that band, would be incredibly heartbreaking especially after Sam came out about Tyler Carter

It was released in November apparently. Accurately expressing what I want to happen to him would get me suspended off most places and maybe here too but I'll just say fuck that dude to the moon and back.

 

Spotify chucks a ton of dodgy stuff in your mixes. I've had friends who had JANK or associated bands with him in come up in their daily mixes and I've had to tell them he's a predator and rapist.

A couple weeks ago David Byrne told the NYT Mark Kozelek is someone working today he admires most. Really sucks and very disappointing.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if a 68 year old man wasn't online enough to hear about Kozelek

 

Possibly, or they did this interview before Pitchfork ran their story and it didn't get published till way later. Byrne never struck me as someone that's out of touch though but this Kozelek story really came and went nowhere I feel.

 

Looks like Polyvinyl removed everything Beach Slang from their online store

 

They actually released their most recent/maybe final album on Bridge 9 Records and that label has not done that but Polyvinyl have indeed stopped selling the older Beach Slang stuff while not commenting on it publically.

 

Bridge 9 still sells Champion stuff, so I don't think they'll take it down. They probably just won't make any more new merch or represses.
