I’m pretty sure the events take place the same night as the 2018 film. At least that’s what I’ve read more than once

The burnt mask looks nice and creepy. I also see they are recreating the nurse in the car shot from the original, same actress and all

If that guy didn’t understand the 2018 film then why does it matter what he thinks

 

not everyone liked that movie for the record, doesn’t mean he or anyone else didn’t “get” it

It matters cause if you also didn’t like the 2018 film, that means this film probably won’t be for you either. It’s a valid first impression

 

That’s not true. Someone could dislike the 2018 film for totally different reasons than the guy in the tweet. The guy gave no context as to why he thinks the script is bad other than he doesn’t understand the new films.

 

i believe he meant more along the lines of “i don’t get why people like this as much as they do” or “why was this so successful”

 

McWeeny's a pretty trustworthy guy, even if he's a bit corny and precious at times. Totally valid for him to be skeptical. I still don't see what people see in the 2018 one, but I hope Kills is an improvement.

 

It’s good news to me because I want to enjoy both and it’s clear I enjoyed the reboot better than him. Winna winna
