I feel sorry that we have a fucking cult that is growing in people and prestige (elected officials). I feel sorry that the Republicans have no fucking morals to even come close to disavow it and cleverly try to play into it to continue their power. I mean we have out in the open members of this cult who are now elected officials.

 

....they were shot from inside while breaking into the capitol lol. I won't defend the intelligence of these idiots but it is pretty unlikely the people inside the building shot other people outside the building who were also trying to get inside the building when they came from the same group.

 

My assistant principal/co-teacher just went on a “not all white people” tangent during class. Cool!

 

Yeah, you aren't going to break down doors to federal government buildings and threaten the lives of elected officials without getting shot. MAYBE if you're white you can escape with your life but, at that point, all bets are off.

Yeah I don’t think she should have been shot like that. Not losing sleep over it but she didn’t brandish a weapon and I don’t think death is an appropriate punishment.

 

I mean, given that one person was shot and hundreds or thousands of others weren't indicates that, yeah, if you're white you can pretty much get away with it.

 

In one video you can hear a guy, after she gets shot, saying “there’s an active shooter here.” So I think these guys were under the same exact delusion — that the thought of “Maybe the rest of the world might be a little freaked out by what we’re doing” never even crossed their minds

I believe “doing a B&E on the united states capitol may be met with deadly force” is in the constitution actually, the fine print

unfortunately we’ve seen a non-uniform application of the law in this case

 

WEll yeah, but like I said at that point they're not just in the building, they're close to where actual people are being sheltered. It was one thing for the police outside the building to just let them in, but when they got close to what was clearly somebody with armed guard....At least the rest of the crowd wised up and backed away and didn't try to continue storming through that particular door.

 

I'm still probably trying to process all of yesterday's events but god damn. Thousands of people broke into the capitol and only one person died. America has spent it's entirety killing far more for far less, it's wild to think only one death happened yesterday.

 

Saying they weren’t mass assaulted and round up because they’re white is too simplistic imo. During BLM protests the cops have no issue with assaulting or arresting white people. It’s specifically because of what they believe and who they support that the police don’t view them as a threat in the same way

 

Yeah also true. Probably why it wasn't the police that did it but what looks like to be USSS or some other armed security force. Dude looked like he was wearing a suit.

 

Where we're at

 

Like I said yesterday, more people died from the national guard murdering them because they were protesting an unjust war on a college campus. That’s the difference between challenging white supremacy and attempting to uphold it.

 

Exactly. The cops see them as an ally so why would they assume they’re a threat.
