Agreed. It’s pretty muddy and a little thin, neither of which serve the songs very well. With how much hype he’s gotten the last couple of months though I bet the shows will be super fun

 

i’m pretty sure this was extremely low budget and self made?

the production is bound to have some issues that will get ironed out when he isn’t making his debut

also if you follow him on twitter, you can tell this release actually led to some $$$ for him from all the new gear he’s posting about haha.

 

Absolutely, and it’s still an incredible album in spite of that! Their next album is going to be huge

 

can't wait for Bartees to release my favourite album of 2021

 

Yeah I think it was too. An accomplishment that still holds these songs back! Definitely not counting him out for the next record though

Did Will Yip produce the album? I just assumed he was producing the live in-studio version.

Still, though I love it, this record sounds bad.

 

will yip has produced some awful sounding records and i highly doubt he’s the most expensive name in production by any means

 

He’s greatly improved. This sounds on par with his earliest efforts. Mix is Brian DiMeglio, who I can’t find much about.
