Based on the first 35 minutes or so that score is deserved. But based on the rest of the game I’d say we were blessed. Cavani shouldn’t have been on the pitch to score the first goal.

eh, felt like a pretty commanding win imo. which is what you want in a domestic cup against a lower pedigree club like stoke. was glad to see the club not play to the opponent's level or worse for the first time in a few matches

 

Surely they’ll rig it for a Manchester derby final. City against Spurs and us against Brentford for the biggest chance

How are we feeling about our clubs heading into the holiday fixture pile up?

I’m hoping city just don’t lose to anyone. But I could see us losing to Newcastle on Saturday.

 

If you'd seen Newcastle recently, you wouldn't be worried about that. We've got ASM injured (who makes the whole team play better) and our back line recently has been such a patchwork of players covering for injuries and Covid. I don't know if I'll be able to bear sitting down and watching this one.

I've got a lot of beer for Christmas, so I guess I could take the edge off...
