I'm still so shaken!! over Marjorie. Like she just drops that on me and then has two more songs after before I can even process what she just did to me

Lmao this is true but also listening to these 2 albums it’s so embarrassing that the lover feature was that god awful Shawn Mendes verse added to the title track.

I need to give this way more time before comparison but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy my first listen of this more than my first listen of Folklore, though I think that's partly due to knowing what to anticipate production wise

Production on this is masterclass. Listening on my expensive Denon studio headphones from 11 years ago and you can hear every instrument crystal clear, perfectly mixed at the right level so nothing overshadows anything else. Perfect

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

    God damn Evermore is everything

  9. Just finished. I'm really excited to listen to this for the rest of the month non-stop because I know I'll find new little things in each song that I missed the time before. A lot of that charm goes out to the production. This era fucking rules.

No Body and Dorothea were the only two that felt even slightly lesser to me on first listen and especially in the case of the former way more a genre thing than a definitive quality statement

I’m at Cowboy and so far those were the two that really stood out to me as not really connecting as well.

the nice thing about where you are in the record is at that point I was thinking 'well she really just has to not wipe out on the landing' and then the last 4 songs are 4 of the best

going to wait to articulate my thoughts properly until tomorrow but it’s clear these aren’t throwaways, album is incredible and on par with Folklore

I don’t know how people can compare this to folklore after just one or two listens. I feel like you need time to digest this with numerous listens before you make any comparisons.
