I should actually probably go that route. I don't have Apple Music and just buy the songs I want, but it's really frustrating when I have download errors like that! It finally worked though, and thankfully, I love the record already. haha.

Didn't spend much time with the singles, but digging this on first listen. Unlike most others, I actually liked Wolverines better than Avalanche United, but I probably like this better already.

  4. My initial impression is pretty positive but I don’t think this comes close to the heights of the first two albums. Some of the vocal melodies are a bit jarring, I think they could have used some tweaking.

    That is one spicy take!

This record is a trip because I remember the first three singles being overall just “ok”. Now, in the context of the whole record, I love those songs. I love this record.

This album's solid, feels great to get new Vinnie music today

This record isn't doing much for me, same with Wolverines and the newest Movielife record. I think maybe Avalanche United set the bar too high. I do love Constant Elevation though.

Somehow that album kinda slipped under my radar, I've checked out a song or two but gotta give it a full spin. Thanks for the reminder!

it's much more on the heavier side of things like Constant Elevation so maybe it'll work for ya!

Been spinning this one more and more. Aside from the initial batch of songs released I really love Fake Weed, Tokyo, and The Morning. The only time I've seen IATA was at a VFW Hall in Michigan right after the release of their first album, really hope they get to tour on this one at some point

  13. It pains me to say this, but this just isn’t resonating with me. It doesn’t come close to the first two IATA albums or the early Movielife albums or the recent Peace’d Out and Constant Elevation releases.

Ooooo I hope that confirms Gravedigger’s Argument making the set list!

Also; I hope they build a bigger fan base with the Bayside tour. They deserve it and it’s such a bummer to see how unappreciated Vinnie is. The fact he hasn’t thrown in the towel is admirable as hell and he deserves much more general success.

Could not agree more, Vinnie is a fantastic songwriter. That's really great to hear about this Bayside tour, I had hoped to see more out of The Movielife and IATA after the reunions. I try and support whatever Vinnie's latest project is, he just seems like such a genuine dude and has been at it for damn year 25 years now, so I make sure I catch a show when close, buy merch, etc.

That’s what we love to hear! *high five*

Same here too - I always order merch and go to whatever show Vinnie is playing here in the Bay Area. Gotta support your artists!

Ive somehow never managed to catch Avalanche live, but I finally got to see The Movielife twice in 2018. I saw Vinnie out in the merch area after they played with NFG and he was awesome. I think he gave me like three hugs.

I saw IATA shortly after their first full length came out in a small town in Michigan, playing to ~25 people in a bingo hall opening for a local band, Heirs. I saw Vinnie 15 years later during the last Movielife tour and told him how it never made sense to me why they came out to play that show. When he remembered details about the show I thought it was cool as hell, just a super down to earth guy that you can tell appreciates every moment.
