The way he has talked about the album so far in interviews is really, really promising. Fingers crossed

I'm so anxious for this damn album lol it's like a carrot dangling to get me through the rest of 2020

 

same, I really really realllllly want it. I don't want to set my expectations TOO high, but based off his last two albums and what I've read about this one... I'm real excited

 

Ya I'm not expecting necessarily a late career masterpiece or anything, but if it pairs the rock solid songwriting of his most recent albums with a bit more of an experimental approach, I think at the very least it'll be a lot of fun and an interesting listen

 

He’s been cranking out nothing but gold from Chaos and Creation onward (Kisses on the Bottom detour aside). I have to think this will continue that.

this album is kinda wild and definitely weird. Not quite what I expected but I'm definitely into it.

 

Can't seem to find it anywhere yet lol but I'm definitely curious!

 

Yeah, this is really cool. I’m impressed he’s still putting out genuinely interesting music this far into his career. I’ll need more listens to decide on favorite tracks, but I really enjoyed this!

 

Glad this is not coming out tomorrow now with another T Swift album on the way

 

Holy shit, he moved the album back one week after his Taylor interview came out. The chances of him knowing she had another album coming out tomorrow, and wanted to distance from it... it's a possibility

 

Honestly the thought crossed my mind, but then I thought well why would Paul know... but I totally forgot about the interview. Wouldn't surprise me if it was a factor

 

Looks like the rest of my day will be devoted to all things Paul

McCartney III growing on me on second listen, very interesting record he made here

 

I got chills watching this trailer.

 

This is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. It really does hit the feel of a “McCartney” album. It’s a good blend of the acoustic vibe of I with the more experimental music and eccentric lyrics of II. And like both those albums, I’m sure it’ll only grow on me more as I listen.

It capped off 2020 perfectly for me. Across his solo work, Beatles, and Wings, Ive probably listened to more Paul than anyone else this year - except maybe/probably T Swift, so getting back to back albums from those two to end the year is really fitting.

 

Haha ya I saw that in the Taylor thread. I got it backwards though!

 

And I hate to triple post but it must be said - I listened to like 8 hours of Paul McCartney, trying to include a little of everything so I had to pick my favorites, and I couldn’t even cut half of Egypt Stations. I didn’t expect it to have as much staying power in my rotation as it has.
