She's gone, but I wouldn't put it past them to bring her back

Expecting her to show up in WWE at some point since they love keeping awful people on the roster lately.

I agree about the finish of the match, but I think it was just really poorly executed? I don't now, giving them the benefit of the doubt for now but yeah the finish wasn't great. Kenny and Don running to the car was great though.

I don't know what Impact has that can boost AEW, but after decades of WWE trying to bankrupt every competitor and being Big Business Assholes it's nice to see AEW take a slightly different approach.

Weren't they talking about a second tv show? AEW Impact would sound cool

Even if impact does nothing for them, it’s still exciting to see an “invasion” type angle. Wouldn’t matter if it was some local Indy promotion there’s just something about it that’s exciting. Too bad WWE would never do such a thing again.

And why did Thunder Rosa lose the nwa belt. They are still promoting her as the champ on the new NWA show. I’m sure it was taped a while back but just seems a little weird

I think working with Impact shows that they are willing to work together to help the industry as a whole. I could see it leading to them working with other promotions like MLW and NJPW in the future. I think ROH is too stupid to work with them unfortunately though I wish they would. Talent exchanges could be highly beneficial to all.

Gonna be wild when NXT gets the New Japan partnership and Okada fights Dexter Lumis

It also helps to recruit talent. "Sign with us and you'll be featured on Tuesday, Wednesday, and whenever else our partners are running shows." vs. "Thrive on NXT, get called up, and never see the light of day again."

This was exactly the thought I had going in my head. Dynamite and Impact actually work as dual show names, having an Invasion angle for debuting the new show would actually be a way to hook people, and you allow Impact to feature some of their people in AEW and make them stronger as a brand.

Yeah, I think it needed to be clearer why Callis was checking on Omega; they didnt really sell that well. And then I think Callis needed to be yelling at Mox or more aggressive in some way to really sell why Mox attacked him.

The locker room yelling at them as they ran out to the car was wonderful though

She lost it during that time where people were saying she was signing with WWE. She disappeared off Dynamite around that time too.

Then it came out she has another year with NWA so I don’t know. But between losing the belt and randomly dropping off Dynamite the whole situation was weird.

Maybe they can get La Parka to come in then if they partner with MLW and show Shawn Spears who the real goddamn chairman is

Wasn’t the rumour that Page was signing with AEW? That would be funny if so.

Yeah, a lot of his initial rise was as a heel with his cleaner gimmick

Them running away was great, it just shouldn't have been the tell that signalled the whole thing was a screwjob. You want the audience to react to the finish of the match, not be reassessing it a minute after the fact.

A little more to that point, I didn't care for the 4 v-triggers that preceeded the one winged angel. I understand they do it just to make Moxley look stronger, but the actual story *was* the mic shot; it should've been immediately followed by the OWA. By dragging it out for the extra v-triggers, it kinda deflated the match's defining moment.

I think it would've played out perfectly if Mox never touches Callis and Callis is shown deliberately tossing Kenny the mic. That would've cleared up the unnecessary ambiguity they created at the end. Then Kenny hits the OWA right away so that you get the climax right into the finish. The audience fully understands what's going on and commentary doesn't need to piece things together for everyone a minute after it ends.

I agree with a lot of this. It would've made more sense if JR/Tony/whoever was just like "where is callis going, he can't be down there!" instead of "oh he's just checking on his friend who he's know for 30 years." Also, watching live, I thought it was weird Callis had a microphone and I didn't even see it make it into the ring. I think some more from the broadcast team on Callis being down there and structuring things a little differently would've improved the segment way more. At least they ran out of the stadium to make it 100% known it was a set up, cause otherwise it just looked like chickenshit heel move that Callis didn't need to be involved in.

Dave mentioned how teams like Private Party and Top Flight would benefit from working Dragon Gate. I think that'd be awesome.

Just watched Dynamite from this week, I loved the finish only because I love Don Callis so much but yeah, the commentating was really weak. If you have peak era JR on that finish it could of cranked up everything a few notches.

Regardless, AEW is must watch now that Omega is champ and heel and ALSO pairing with Callis.

What has NXT been like??? Are they completely falling behind AEW in terms of quality? I would just assume they are but I haven't been following at all.
