It’s hilarious that they put the face paint on where his hairline used to be

It was like that his entire WWE run and probably some of TNA as well. He'd look very weird bald so just keep it as is lol

But just paint up until his hairline instead of like 2-3 inches short of it

If a Sting/Darby match happens I need Sting to bleach his hair again

I really think (hope?) that Sting won't be working a match. Rollins totally fucked his neck.

I think this is about -- much like with Tully, Arn, Jake, etc. -- using the name to get the next generation over. And given that there's a current talent who is the new "Face of TNT", who has been hanging out in the rafters, and he seemed to take a liking to last night, he's going to make Darby a megastar.

Sting has a multi-year deal where he will be a regular. Expected to be physical, but not taking bumps.

I really don't want to have to pay attention to Impact. two hours of wrestling a week is the sweet spot for me.

and given AEW's lack of recap packages (though they've gotten a bit better recently) I don't really want to miss out on anything. I can see some people who dont watch BTE being a little confused at certain parts of Dynamite every week.

See this is kinda my complaint. A lot of the talent already does a great job of getting over on their own. We don’t really need these legends coming in so they can say “x wrestler is the next y wrestler”. Even though I don’t like Darby I gotta admit he was already over.

I kinda feel like it’s a Cody decision. But I’m like let AEW stand on its own, it’s already doing a great job of that. Although they do it well with the legends. Them working with other promotions is more exciting to me

Sting coming back was like "oh hey, that's cool" but the Impact partnership is the way bigger news of the day.

don't mind sting being back as long as he's not wrestling much. i've generally enjoyed how they've used older stars to this point.

not sure what to make of the impact partnership, at least from aew's end. they're choosing not just to elevate a rival product to their level, but a product that hasn't been that great and could reflect poorly on them. it does get people talking i guess, but i dont see where it expands the audience; i dont know what the ultimate upside is.

still hate the moxley/omega finish. it was a master plan that hinged on omega getting ddt'd on the concrete, moxley being a douche and dragging kenny away from the doctors and back into the ring so he could beat the shit out of him, and finally it required moxley deciding he needed to deck callis, which was what ultimately diverted the referees attention. and to top it off, nobody seemed to realize there was anything to it until JR says something didn't smell right like a half minute after the match ended. there was little to no outrage to what took place as it happened though, even with jon getting brained with the mic; you just had schiavone bemoaning how they had a gentleman's agreement, but that seemed kinda hollow after moxley hit the paradigm shift on the concrete and pulled kenny away from the doctors. at that point it seems weird to complain about sportsmanship.

I'm also unsure of the endgame re: the AEW x Impact relationship.

My gut says its something where Kahn, Omega, etc. felt as if they could help Impact, in the way that a New Japan has helped a NOAH or AJPW at different times, sort of a rising tide raising all ships scenario.

No matter where it goes, what is true is that this is the most excited, and most talking, I've seen people re: wrestling in a very long time.

Impact has a good women's division too right? AEW can def benefit there.

yeah that would be the only thing I'm interested in. MCMG and a couple of other tag teams too.

I can't wait to hear how fucking terrible the commentary is when Omega actually comes out at Impact.

I'm more interested in The North, MCMG, and the women's division minus Tessa being involved with AEW than anyone from the men's division. Though, I think Ethan Page is out of Impact after this month, so The North might be a no go
