This Republican dingus wants to let the public speak before they vote. Good lord, just get it over with.

 

He sounds like he will be voting yes but wants the public to be able to speak.

 

Mary Nichols was floated somewhere. Her work in CA has been pretty good. Honestly the ones I’ve seen have been good, or maybe hopeful I should say. I saw Heather Mcteer Toney floated by politico, she directs an organization called Mom’s Clean Air Force that does a lot of good work.
If this appointment goes non-progressive I will be massively disappointed, and I already have low expectations for this admin.

 

i do worry that EPA is one of the spots where the GOP senate are going to be huge dicks about. Bleh.

 

Oh yeah no matter who it is they will be accused of wanting to ban cows

 

this makes me so mad to thibk about already. We will almost certainly have clips from that hearing of someone like Ted Cruz or whoever asking Jay Inslee if he wants to ban all cows and hamburgers.

inslee is smart enough to maybe actually explain that part of the FAQ sheet and what it meant. Not that it’ll matter, but still.

 

There is no way in hell that Nichols is confirmed by the Senate. Absolutely no chance when Republicans tee off on California blackouts, banning gas powered vehicle sales, and whatever other bogeymen they can conjure up.

 

She did a lot of “famous” work while she was at EPA on cap and trade during the Clinton admin. I say that to argue that she’s more of a traditional candidate than you might think given her time in CA and the senate could have a hard time justifying denying her. But I mean Biden should not let the senate decide who he appoints anyway, they’re going to make everyone look like an insane radical who wants to get rid of cars.

 

Yep, I've seen atleast 8 people now sharing this and are REFUSING to be put in a camp.

 

Sounds about the same. I also saw its camps for the old and elderly to be separated into to die. So yeah real level headed thinking going on with that.

 

I want to comment on every single one asking where they think I'm getting shipped off to die. Surely, by this logic, that is what is going to happen to me.

 

Here’s something else to think about:

Do we think Joe Manchin is gross enough to vote against someone like Jay Inslee for EPA in the name of coal plants?

 

Manchin shot the cap and trade bill so he definitely would vote again Inslee/Nichols

I like to point out that it's Trump's CDC. To which the we response has been "go read what biden's health czar wants to do. it's not far from this"
