Biden did say nothing will fundamentally change, he meant it. Lots of superficial changes by making appointments more diverse, substance though looks to be more of the same (excluding the Trump admin which has been batshit crazy).
Honestly we should not be supporting these picks. So many of these people helped us become responsible for a lot of conflict and civilian deaths. Let’s care about deaths outside of our borders please.

 

Honestly I think even I wasn't ready for how little the democrats want to bring about change. They will be very, very surprised when 2024 rolls around and no one is going to take them seriously when they cry about the next fascist their total fecklessness will facilitate into office.

Regarding 2024, voters don’t seem to vote at all on foreign policy (aside from trade) so there’s that. If voters cared about foreign lives the primaries would look a lot different. I guess it remains to be seen how the domestic cabinet appointments look but it sure does look like more of the same judging by these defense picks.

So when Bernie was finally defeated by Biden back in March or whatever, I was so thoroughly disappointed, I felt like our country truly didn't care about wanting to solve the country's problems, and therefore even considered not even voting in the election. I still ended up voting, but like people have pointed out, these picks are so safe and bland, nothing will get done or fixed

 

Oh I feel like this has been true a long time; the rest of the world doesn't really exist to most Americans ("why should I have a passport??"). It's all about what happens around them, and as long as a potential president addresses those domestic issues, he's their guy

 

The thing about Joe Biden is he literally told you multiple times on the campaign trail that he isn’t sorry for anything he’s done, doesn’t want you to have health care, and that minority voters and people with concerns about him shouldn’t vote for him. Why do you listen to paid sycophants telling you his platform is the most progressive in history when you could, I dunno, just listen to the words that come out of his mouth
