    Doug Jones is definitely strong on some issues, especially for a Democrat in in Alabama, like on criminal justice, racial and social issues, he certainly doesn’t seem like a moderate there. But there are other issues that he is clearly quite moderate on. Foreign policy specifically, I know he has called for more defense spending, voted for Mike Pompeo, and has voted against ending support for Saudi Arabia in Yemen. I’m sure there are other issues as well. Though I guess it’s hard to know if he might not be so moderate if he was running a national campaign vs. a state campaign in a really conservative state.

    I just imagine there are definitely better options among candidates who aren’t progressive

    His district encompasses my hometown and I fucking hate the dude. The amount of shit he has passed that has helped his business is nauseating.

    I feel like you really need to be from the area to understand that one. Gross Pointe was the town that put a giant fucking roadblock in the one road that comes in from the city of Detroit to make it harder for Detroit citizens to get to their town. I also think you have to be a city resident to use their city parks.
