Ok. Everything has gotten too stupid

 

That entire ecosystem needs to be dismantled. The fact that these people are elevating and amplifying voices that are so clearly not based on any evidence or truth, is only going to get worse unless something is done to limit the spread of this type of misinformation. The internet is killing us woohooo

 

From Umberto Eco's essay on fascism: "No syncretistic faith can withstand analytical criticism. The critical spirit makes distinctions, and to distinguish is a sign of modernism. In modern culture the scientific community praises disagreement as a way to improve knowledge. For Ur-Fascism, disagreement is treason."

I am reminded of this with the politicization of science and pseudo-science during this pandemic.

 

I came in here to post this. The desperation in all of this comes down to avoiding consequences and doing anything to avoid them. Trump has always been able to weasel his way out of everything and this is all about to come crumbling down.

Im a little late to the party, but damn, shoot me up with that vax ASAP. I asked my husband if once we're vaccinated I can re-book our trip to Disney.

 

I wake up every morning realizing we are more and more screwed as the days go by. The GOP is a lost cause. This is insanity.

 

Think of all the people that could have had their rent covered for that $$

 

Liberals turning Merrick Garland, who was specifically chosen by Obama to be as moderate and unobjectional as possible, into this liberal icon who should be considered for stuff like AG continues to be the worst.

 

I’d be okay with Doug Jones as AG

 

Doug Jones or Yates would be ok with me.

I just feel like Jones would shy away from political crimes and focus more on racial justice reform, but it’s a trade-off.

 

He is literally the only one on that list that I said yeah I would be okay with that. The rest just plain stink.

 

Why does Yates stink to you? Haven’t seen anything based on her record or prior experience that spells stinks to me. But that’s based on limited research
