I'm happy everyone is happy with this but I really miss songs like this:

 

Kendrick literally has maybe some background stuff, same with Beyonce so they really aren't features.

 

Wasn't there a rumor he was going to sell the magazine in Apple stores or am I making that up? Would be cool if they started selling it within the next week or two.

 

Yeah the apple source said that when they said it was coming out last weekend. Hope it's true I would really like to own one of those.

Drake doesn't try to make albums like this at all. Completely different artist with a completely different sound. Weird to even bring up.

 

My other band is named after this song. I like Frank's taste in tunes

 

Frank and Bon Iver in the same year. Maybe the end times are nigh

There's nothing on here I like as much as "Bad Religion" or "Pink Matter", but it's definitely an interesting listen. I need to listen some more before I can fully judge how I feel about it. I've listened twice so far and nothing is really jumping out. Looking at the tracklist, I can't really remember how some of the songs even sound. Hopefully it's a grower.

 

White Ferrari Jesus shit

 

"Self Control" is an obvious highlight, although at this point I'm unsure how I feel about the outro. His vocals on the first part of the song are so good.

 

Not my cup of tea. All the songs start to blur together. Needs more drums and variety.

Is Endless more upbeat? Haven't listened to it yet.

 

Damn this guy can sing.

 

This is brilliant IMO, have had the biggest smile on my face from start to finish. Definitely not perfect or a "masterpiece"; if I had to give it a score it'd be 8.5/10, but dammit if it isn't one of the best 8.5/10 albums I've ever heard. Better than Channel Orange - lacks a chart-friendly single but the whole vibe of the album is incredible. Great pacing, great length, songs aren't blurring together for me at all like they seem to be for some.

Favs are Nikes, Solo, Nights, White Ferrari, Godspeed and Futura Free (not the interview tho!).

 

I just don't see myself ever wanting to throw this on outside of a few tracks.

Wrapping up listen 1 now, it's good but like CO it doesn't totally hold my attention for the full run time. Will have to see if it grows with more listens.
