to be fair, I wouldn't have realized there was any controversy surrounding this band had the subsequent posts not been made. I guess it's been mentioned about them in here before, but unfortunately there are too many cancelled bands nowadays and Y&ITW isn't one I ever kept up with in the past so...

 

Fuck, are you shitting me? That legitimately puts me in a foul mood, they were one of my favorites. God damnit.

 

Fair. I was a big fan of theirs back in the day to thr point where I had almost their entire discography on vinyl and had seen them live a couple times. So it shocked me when I saw a new release from them posted on Dead Air In The Pulpit. I just assumed they were dead because of the sexual assault allegations and subsequent response. But it still seems like they are dead...just putting out the album out there they would have put out on Deathwish before they got dropped.

 

I obviously don't really know about the band or the allegations but it seems shitty of them to try to sell a record post allegations. At least donate the proceeds or something.

they brought out the original ABR vocalist and he fuckin killed it. I’d been waiting to hear that since I was 15. Shame we didn’t get more of him.

I thought Jake sounded pretty great tonight. Was cool to see him perfom some of those old songs. John McManness coming out for Consumer was a nice touch though.

 

idk sometimes I don’t like the way he does things live sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s wack. seems like his technique is pretty weak at times.

 

I always thought the transition between vocalists was pretty seemless.

yeah it’s crushing!! not sure if I like it more than the previous ones yet but it is up there

 

Really tempted to buy a ticket/vinyl. My favorite ABR album by far.

 

I still say fuck Jake.

But also listen to new Boundaries. Grew on me quick. Band is super influenced by 00’s metalcore and I’m here for it. Thanks @Nate_Johnson. It’s miles ahead of their previous releases.
