there’s a shout-out to Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Enya & Brian Eno (among others) in the liner notes!!!

 

Going back to the Decibel top 40 list. I think it’s really great they put the new AC DC on there. Also, I’m dumbfounded that the Kirk Weindstein album is on there. I thought it was quite possibly one of the most boring things he has ever done.

Also, Svalbard deserves to be MUCH higher.

 

So Young And In The Way put out a new album on Bandcamp.

 

Do you like Demilich or Timeghoul? Those two and early Morbid Angel are the primary sounds Blood Incantation are jocking in the modern time from the early 90s.

 

That's the weird part y'all, I love Demilich and Timeghoul. There's just something about Blood Incantation that isn't clicking. It's especially weird because I did like Interdimensional Extinction. Their full-lengths just haven't hit for me.

To be fair, that was established for me a long time ago. Can't rule it out, all the same!

 

Abnormality breaking up this week sucks, caught them at a handful of MA shows over the years always a blast. Their metal blade debut is one of my favorite recent tech-death albums, bummer

 

The question is, who is in the band? Also, I couldn’t find it.

I wasn't going to link to a record by a band that's been openly canceled. Just my preference. If you want to listen, find it yourself.

 

Why post anything then? Seems a bit odd to me.

 

Never heard this band before but just listened. Pretty good imho. Got some real Renounced/The Carrier vibes during the beginning/end of the album. Middle is all heavy.

 

I actually really enjoyed the closer. Sort of a pallet cleanser.

 

Tracks 1-3 are great. Some fun transitions and the leads stand out. 4-7 are a blur of beat down riffs lol. Then 8-11 are probably the best tracks. Really good at the end.

 

Because it's out there? Because we talk about acts in here who've been canceled or other boneheads in here fairly regularly? Because I thought it was important to address? Because they were a favorite band of mine at one point that did something vile and I want to process my own feelings about it through discussing it?

I posted it here as opposed to the Accountability thread because there would at least be some discussion about it here.

I also think it's shitty that they're charging 10 bucks for it on Bandcamp, but that's what the music blog I heard about it on is for.
