Yeah I mean, if people were told we were going to go on another lockdown but everyone would be getting full pay the duration out of work and businesses would be provided with financial help to keep an income coming while shut down, people would certainly be more supportive of it. But a shutdown without financial relief is just a bad idea. But doing nothing more is also a bad idea. It’s a lose lose situation. We can talk about personal responsibility but clearly that isn’t working. Because for every person who is being responsible, someone else isn’t. (And even responsible people have to still go to work, go to stores, etc. where it can potentially spread)

 

We need a stimulus so bad.

Then, when it takes most of next year to actually get back to normal because a) this shit takes time and b) lots of people won't get vaccinated he'll blame Biden for botching the vaccine rollout
