If the Biden administration can get COVID well under control, and get the economy pretty revived, I would assume this would reflect well on Democrats in 2022

 

I don't think that's news. Some of the more recent deadlines for reducing emissions that have whizzed past without sufficient action were based on achieving only a 2 degree Celsius warming.

 

Maybe I'm just being tin foil hat and I feel like a dumb Republican claiming voter fraud right now but... I'm still curious to learn more about the active russian interference attempts that we did nothing about...

Well even when discussing the GND there seems to be an acknowledgment that we’re past the point of no return, we’re now looking at mitigation. I think the deadline in the green new deal is modeling for global hospitable issues above and beyond climate catastrophe from sea level rise and ice melt.

 

I think that's to stop any rise at all. That's why the goal of things like Paris is to limit the rise to no more than 2 degrees Celsius this century and, hopefully, cap it at no more than 1.5

 

So, I am preparing my way out of academia (as in "as a researcher"). I currently have a job as an academic administrator and projekt manager and I love it.

Applied for another job that would have been better money-wise and, I can say this rarely, would have been perfect..I fit the description perfectly which basically never happens: academic administration, public relations management, etc.....and I got rejected now. Fuck 2020.
