Just a heads up, either of those poll questions is about the GND or M4A. I wouldn't draw conclusions that Ossoff saying he's "against" those things means he's against two things that his state wants.

 

It depends on which provisions, if any, the court decides are related to the individual mandate and strikes down along with it.

There are a range of outcomes from just the mandate itself (which makes sense because, without a tax penalty, it's effectively been struck down for a while and the law or insurance markets have not fallen apart and premiums are actually decreasing).

They could also rule that the mandate can be severed from most of the law, if not all of it, and strike down some of the insurance reform provisions, which could include protections for pre-existing conditions. This would leave states to step in and pass laws to fill in that gap, some of which already have and some of which probably never will.

It could also include striking down the insurance subsidies which would be even more catastrophic not only to individuals and families who rely on those to afford coverage, but it would also destabilize the insurance market.

They could also strike down the whole law, which seems highly unlikely.

 

The time between announcements where it’s all rumors and arguments is so dumb in a regular year. This year everyone is way too hyped up. At least no one fell for the Buffalo Fake News story here.
