yeah, "solving" COVID and rebounding the economy would win Biden more points with the electorate for '24 than some half measure fake green new deal horseshit, even if that survived the senate.

it doesn't require the senate or the courts and would be more of a victory than anything his brain would cook up this cycle

Maybe this has been mentioned but we can start counting down the days until Stephen Miller no longer is shaping policy. A huge relief given the anti- immigration agenda he wanted to push through in the second term. Now who knows what other damage he can inflict in the remaining months, but I for one will be glad to see that scumbag out of the White House.

  5. One thing I am confident in saying right now is ... based on the fundamentals, if Trump had issued a mask mandate, took COVID seriously, I think he would have won. I still believe it would have been close, but I think he's looking at the same win as 2016 again, instead of Biden maybe having it. People really believe his economy shit.

Yeah I think they HAVE to get some good shit passed early. Pound the messaging and make sure the public knows they're not getting help because of Republican senators. "We are trying to give you all $2000 a month for 3 months to stay home, and Mitch and Ron Johnson and Rick Scott and etc. are all stopping it from happening."

If they can force that issue and also force the Republicans to either vote no or eat shit on something like a $15 min wage and a public option...

Was just looking at the remaining votes, several higher population strong blue counties (Dekalb, Muscogee, Clayton) with less than 90% reporting. And presumably being the absentee and early voting ballots remaining that helps them even more.

Worst case there I see is Biden losing by less than 20,000 votes. Best case he wins. Let's see if I'm right.

If Biden wins, it will definitely be a relief to be rid of Miller, DeVos and Mnuchin.

So, what do we think our Senate numbers are going to look like after this? Assuming we win Georgia since we had the lead before the runoff

  12. My current thoughts:

MI, NV, AZ: Likely Biden. Pretty confident.

PA: Lean Biden. Not as confident, but it looks good from my looking at it.

    GA: No idea. Toss up.

    NC: Likely Trump. Pretty confident.

The economy would be a lot better if they prepared for and took the pandemic seriously. It’s very sad how few people flipped when they handled this about as bad as it could have possibly been handled.

Bringing COVID under control and getting the economy roaring again, IMO, would be good enough accomplishments to run on alone in 2024

sure. kamala. it was discussed she wouldn't win bc her attachment to four years of nothing during biden's tenure.

decreasing COVID numbers, getting a working vaccine, bouncing the economy back....those are things that don't require the courts or senate during biden's tenure that would be major wins for her in '24.

definitely. there was never an outcome where he would have done that though because he is a fool.

Biden's popular vote lead is now over 3 million. That's already more than Hillary, and we have a hell of a lot of votes to count that are almost in every state going to benefit Biden

Do we expect Kamala to be more progressive than Joe if she ever had to take over? They're both so underwhelming

she isn't good by any means but Joe Biden is one of the people most responsible for the democrats' rightward shift in the 80s and 90s so yes because I think it's tough to be less progressive than Joe Biden
