Not to mention the fact that the second a GOP hardliner who actually cares about the issue gets into office the DOJ is going to crack down on every state where it's legal unless weed is legalized at the federal level before then, which it won't be.

Oh, I totally get it, and I agree. But at some point we're really going to need to stop escalating the executive arms race before we really do give ourselves over to a competent fascistic leader and implement some structural reform.

I don't know how that happens or what it looks like, but we need to put some smart ass motherfuckers on that pronto.

 

Actually, I am likely going to be in NC and only about 3 hours from Atlanta from Thanksgiving through the new year. May need to find a weekend to get out there and canvas.

To be fair, despite contradicting himself at the debate, Trump has mostly been FOR a $15 minimum wage, or at least he has not really come out against it (he has at various times said it should be up to the states, not the feds).

 

Granted, my donations are a drop in the bucket, but I do feel like the money I sent to Jamie Harrison was a bad call. I just hate Graham so much I wanted to will it into existence.

I don't think we will see the 2024 primary go by without a member of the Trump family involved. If Trump himself is still healthy enough I expect he will try to run again, or at least want to. But if not Don Jr. or Ivanka will almost certainly run in 2024.

I just think that if it's anyone other than Trump himself, they won't win. Cotton is the ideal candidate to smuggle true believer fascism into power and I think a lot of the worst people will be putting their eggs in that basket. Plus he's establishment-friendly.
