Thank god Labour has real leadership like this now

 

I've seen quite a few of conservatives in my life become democrats during Trump's presidency, so they aren't all lost causes. My dad has gone from Fox News posts to BLM posts and Trump memes lol

 

I'd be lying if I said this didn't make me laugh

Ehh...when we first met, we probably didn't get into politics right away but a year or two in it became pretty apparent that I was super to the left of my wife on fiscal policy. She was basically your standard republican on taxes/social welfare programs, a lot of that engrained from her Republican dad. Even as recently as, I wanna say 2015 or 2016? we got into a drunk argument with friends and she was sticking to the ole "bootstraps" nonsense for poor people lol. Now I'd say she's probably either a moderate liberal or a liberal on fiscal issues, and once in a while even a bit into social democratic stuff. I think it's been a combo of me walking her through the logical arguments for why she should support more government spending based on her personal beliefs (it helps that she's also a social studies teacher and thinks about this type of stuff anyway), and her working in a school that serves mostly urban poor black students while she grew up in a town where she had like 3 black people in her entire HS and virtually no one that was poorer than middle class. But long story short, I've got her agreeing with me on things like that taxes need to be higher, that we need more regulation, and that we need to spend more on alleviating poverty, etc.

I'm sure her dad probably hates me for it

jfc. I hate this dumb arguments but REALLY hate how many gullible people fall for them.

 

While I agree with the General sentiment, it’s a bit of an expensive lesson to teach the establishment given what is at stake.

These people have no idea how shoots work. You literally show up and wardrobe takes you away to get dressed in whatever outfit was already picked out for you and you’ve got a short amount of time to get ready because everyone under the sun is going to need to have a once over before the shoot begins. Makeup and Wardrobe are standing by throughout the shoot for touchups and changes and Last Looks. It’s stressful and continuous until it’s finally over and then you walk away like “what just happened?”

And why the hell should AOC look at the wardrobe and be like “nah I’m not wearing that” if it’s an outfit that will look good on her? Donald Trump claims to be a man of the people and shits in a golden toilet on the regular.
