I don’t know the full details of the report, but they aren’t even suspending him for anything alleged in the report, rather simply because he criticized the report lol

“[Starmar’s] predecessor Jeremy Corbyn said he did not accept all of the report's findings but expressed the hope that the recommendations would be "swiftly implemented".

He said "anyone claiming there is no anti-Semitism in the Labour Party is wrong" but added that "the scale of the problem was also dramatically overstated for political reasons by our opponents inside and outside the party, as well as by much of the media".

Labour later suspended Mr Corbyn from the party and removed the whip, meaning he would no longer be part of the Parliamentary Labour Party.

In a statement the party said: "In light of his comments made today and his failure to retract them subsequently, the Labour Party has suspended Jeremy Corbyn pending investigation."

Cant wait for whats happening to Corbyn to be used as a playbook against AOC, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar

Well I just had to go on an ambulance call that broke my heart. The call itself wasn't bad, patient wasn't injured but she was TERRIFIED of the bill she (isnt) going to receive because she doesn't have insurance. She literally cried when I told her we don't bill anyone regardless if they're one of our tax payers or not.

    Our healthcare system sucks.

They've already been trying it with Omar, and didn’t Israel try to literally forbid Tlaib from entering the country? Lol.

I think AOC is more moderate on Israel because her district is much more heavily Jewish, but yeah she would be fooling herself if she thinks her friendship with those two isn’t going to be used just as easily against her

Bernie still has 4 years left in his term. Sacrificing that to be an ignored lackey of the Biden admin would be really fucking foolish

Yep, that’s a thing that happened. It’s ridiculous. The best thing to do is not legitimize bad-faith narratives from bad-faith actors.

It is utterly bizzare to me to be married to someone for a decade and have no idea about their ideological beliefs

If you’ve ever said “get out of my country” your mother and sister are the same person.

I was thinking the same thing and then started wondering if it's some sort of generational, "don't talk about politics" thing or something. I've been with my wife since like 2009 or so but if I were single now, there'd be 0% chance that politics wouldn't come up if I were dating new people.

I was thinking the same thing. How does that not come up even once during your marriage (pre-Trump)?

I'm thinking these people have to know on some level. It may not be as blatant as "I'm against abortions" but they're has to have been some indication about their treatment and attitudes towards women for example

Imo it's even weirder being with someone when you DO know their political beliefs and they're completely opposite of yours lol
