My favorite way to talk about looting & rioting (other than trying to not talk about it) is to describe it as not necessarily good or bad, but rather just something that is. I think I’ve heard moralizing it compared to moralizing boiling water, which I more or less agree with. It’s a far more complex, multifaceted phenomenon than a bunch of individuals each simply making detached, calculated decisions like robots or whatever.

 

Honestly I wish the PA AG and Wolf would go "Roberts has made his decision, now let him enforce it" and fucking count hte votes and certify the results.

Correct. It’s what MLK meant when he said rioting being the “language of the unheard” - that it is what has occurred throughout all of history when certain conditions are met, so you can safely bet that, all other things being equal, it will occur again no matter how much you want to prosecute or morally castigate those involved. It simply does not matter whether what the rioters did was good or acceptable or not.
