  1. I thought this would make 13 for some reason but I honestly don't know.

I thought there were 12 appeals and that they were above the circuits?

  3. Biden needs to fucking destroy Trump for any chance of a victory - this is so fucked

    I hate this country

Have there been any stories or reports of ballot drop boxes or post office boxes being destroyed by the wildfires across the country? That's also a fear of mine.

Circuits are the appellate courts. Below them are district courts.

I wonder what date will be on earliest postmarked ballots to be thrown out.

    What a depressing thought.

If they don’t add 6 justices then it doesn’t matter whether they expand the court or not. 2 and 4 aren’t enough.

depends on the laws of the states taking the longest to count, and also depends on when Trump decides he’s fed up and asks SCOTUS to end the election for him

I never thought I'd find myself at my most politically radical in my mid-30's, but, fuck it.

Burn the entire system to the ground and start over, we fucked this one up too bad.

It would be very funny if they only added 2 for a 6-5 conservative majority

Bush v Gore will probably be traced to be the tipping point of humanities future extinction tbh

We’re literally relying on Roberts and Gorsuch at this point. Wonderful!

And 6 would give them a 9-6 advantage with security against any weird unforeseen shit/potential recusals

I could actually see that happening. I'd say it lets Roberts stop any really bad shit from getting through the courts but he just helped republicans steal Wisconsin so you can't really even say that. But at least it lets Roberts stop some of the bad shit from getting through the courts? While making the democrats seem somewhat reasonable?

Of course, it'll still have opened the court packing can of worms and then the GOP will use "you did it in 2020" to add four justices next time they get into power. So its a dumb move. But I can see it happening.

fuck them run up the score so even if a judge dies on the bench in the next 10-20 years we still have a majority

Bush v. Gore goes the other way if Clinton appoints Thurgood Marshall’s successor instead of Bush

They need 13 anyway. The 9th circuit is obscenely large — entire west coast, Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico. If we’re operating under the implicit logic that different regions have different needs and thus need different laws, it doesn’t make sense to squeeze all those together

4/9 justices on the supreme court, nearly half, were nominated by people who lost the popular vote for the term in which they nominated the justice.

if any democrat leader in the house or senate aren’t absolutely out for blood after the election then i don’t know anymore. How can you experience everything republicans have done since 2000 and STILL want to make things fair or even and not want absolute brutal revenge. I already know the answer, i don’t need anyone to quote me. just letting my thoughts fly
