Oh man. Oh man. Imo, save it for Christmas and double-feature it with Krampus. But yeah, it's a classic for a reason and a must-see.

 

I definitely will, it sounds like a fun combo. It’s wild I never seen it as a horror fan but the stars just never aligned.

 

Yup, same here. It’s been on my list for ages, but I just noticed it was streaming on Crave, so I figured now was as good a time as any!

 

I thought about watching it recently, but the same thing for me too.

 

rewatched Sinister. it’s so good. the entire movie is just building tension and it never lets you have a moment. even when they’re just talking it’s still creepy.

 

Gremlins 1 and Krampus sounds like a fun time. Gremlins 2 is great too.

Speaking of campy horror, might be the first year I’m not rewatching Trick R Treat

 

I was born in 83 and grew up on Gremlins 1 and 2 and as a kid was able to distinguish the style tones between the two. Like I was totally on board for Joe Dante go full-on Looney Tunes with the sequel

#Alive feels so much like a COVID movie I had to look up when it was made. Weirdly prescient

 

Watching Mortuary on Shudder (not to be confused with the new Mortuary Collection, which is also on my list). Solid slasher.

And yeah Gremlins and Krampus are annual watches for the wife and I. So much fun.

 

Chiming in on the Gremlins conversation, Gremlins is cool & all but Gremlins 2 is where it’s at!!

no matter how many times I watch Doctor Sleep that shot of Danny looking into Wendy's eyes as the hotel burns down always makes me cry like a baby. incredible movie

 

I taught a horror movie class last year that got cut off by the pandemic, and one of my former students has been emailing me with recs/reviews of what he’s watching. Teaching isn’t all bullshit!

 

don’t really have any good reason. just that i wanted to rewatch other things this month and i wanted something different.

after posting that i realized it was a lie though because i watched the first 10 minutes of the movie the other day. hahaha. i already have a bunch of movies I want to rewatch for next year though, including Trick R Treat. Better Watch Out, Haunt, Satanic Panic, Ready or Not are most def going to be on my list.

Last year’s version of Child’s Play was a treat. Need to watch it again.
