Doing The Invisible Man 2night.

 

Cam has been on my list for a while, gonna do that since it's on Netflix and has great reviews. Looks very colorful and twisty

 

Cam was great both times I watched it.

 

Oh yeah, Cam was bonkers, I wouldn't think about the ending too hard but what a blast and a visual treat. I'm late coming to it, but def recommend to anyone looking for a unique psychological thriller

 

Had never heard of Cam before now, but I might check it out tomorrow. Sounds pretty interesting.

 

wow Before I Wake was surprisingly just not very good, you can tell it's a Flanagan film by his visuals, but the writing was shockingly clumsy in that one

 

isa mazzei was on the scarred for life podcast at one point talking about the movie. it was very insightful and discussed further about her past sex work!

 

Loved loved loved The Invisible Man. The camera work was phenomenal and specifically, very focused on building and holding dread. It was like that one scene in The Conjuring where the camera focuses on nothing at all behind the door in the girls' bedroom and it's still eerie (I still love that scene hard), but all over the movie. Elizabeth Moss is on another level also. Leigh Whannell has really elevated himself!

 

Currently diving into my Thirteen Ghosts Scream Blu-ray

 

That's awesome. I love how the film was built upon true experiences of and the anxieties that come with sex work without ever framing it negatively.

 

It absolutely holds its own, I promise.

 

I’m I think slightly more than halfway done with Bly manor and I’m loving it. Has this already been discussed in here and I missed it?

We watched the old Shia movie Disturbia lastnight. It still holds up pretty well for what it is. It's a pretty fun time.

 

I like that movie a lot. Fun is the right word.

Just finished The Babysitter: Killer Queen, really enjoyed it. Almost as much fun as the first one.

Now digging into Gremlins for the first time.

 

I’m watching the house on sorority hill for the first time and it’s already up there with best slashers of all time for me. Definitely doing a double feature with this and Black Christmas soon.

 

A friend gave me The Burning so I’m watching it tonight

 

Not that I can find, but it's been in production for quite some time and the other writer of WNUF and Call Girl of Cthulu (Jimmy George) is also involved. I got my ticket!
