I'm ok, I've been staying home for the most part anyway it just sucks that it's gotten to this level. There's more cases per day now than there was in the first wave back in April. The charts are not pretty to look at.

I suspect England will have the same soon.

I’m in a “tier 1” area still buy many of my friends in Birmingham and Wolverhampton are tier 2 (what a stupid system).

We have a 5 level system, but also levels in between the levels. So we were at level 3 in Dublin, but with more restrictions than level 3 should. The govt have no idea what to do.

The National Public Health Emergency Team advised going into level 5 lockdown two weeks ago for 4 weeks and the govt leaked that and said no, now we're going to level 5 for 6 weeks. Great job.

People around here believe that it’ll all be over after the election. I had to physically walk away from the conversation.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Did Ireland do the same thing as the UK and change how they recorded cases though? It's apples and oranges here, because in the first round, we only did tests on people who were hospitalised. Now we're testing in the community, so the numbers are absolutely massive and we have no way of knowing if this is worse than April or not. Complete shitshow.

I don't think there's a change in how cases are recorded, but there is more testing now than there was earlier in the year. % of positives is a good way to track, I think. Which has risen from less than 3% to 7.2% in the last three weeks.

I still can’t tell if CBS will actually be airing a match on tv today or if you can only stream the matches and download their app.

You’re in Charlotte, right? I drove by the fairgrounds in Raleigh yesterday and was shocked to find out that it was packed and that they’re currently doing the state fair with just the food vendors at the moment. I wanted to repeatedly bash my head against my steering wheel.

    Let them go.

This only benefits TV watching fans and would be a kick in the teeth to everyone in Liverpool/Manchester/London who supports those clubs. Away days are the best bit of football and the fans of those clubs will have to pay a fortune.

All while the EPL/EFL become more competitive than ever.

United executives are nostalgic for their brief period in the mid-70s where the club finished bottom of the league, and wish to bring this unique experience to the modern day fans via participation in a new European Super league!

None of the PL clubs bar a full-strength Liverpool would stand any chance of making a mark in a league like that imo, Chelsea and Spurs have already been whipping boys for Bayern this year so how are they going to feel coming off the back of a 5-0 drubbing by them in this new league to find they're playing PSG next week and Real Madrid the week after :anguish::crylaugh:

Yeah, my mom and I both got furloughed as part of some BIG OL' conspiracy against half the country. Real galaxy brain thinking on those people's parts.

Apparently it is five English clubs who have been invited. I wonder who misses out... Spurs? City? Us?

I kind of hope it is us. Not sure I would continue supporting Arsenal to be honest.

  20. I saw something about Spurs “being invited”
