I wrote, recorded, and released this whole EP today!

 

Getting really into the ILYL albums and now I'm looking for more recent stuff that has that early 2010s revival sound. Bonus points if you can recommend me anyone doing this sound that isn't fronted by a man.

 

record setter doing it the best imo. Pool Kids as well. Mountains and Clouds LP from this year is amazing. those a goalies anxiety at the penalty kick singles have a real throw back sound but more towards early TWIABP/Empire Empire!. Yawning are incredible if you want some snowing-core.

Also not "new", but ive been jamming the album With Iowa in Between - So Many Ways to Not Say Anything, and that fits the vibe.

Theres also a lot of bands like origami angel, oolong that pull heavy from those 2010 revival bands but mix it with the the whole party emo thing but dunno if thats what youre looking for.

EDIT: Also forests if you havent really jammed them before

Thirded, think Bright Eyes collabing with Manchester Orchestra and you're about halfway there. (also the opener reminds me of Keep Yourself Warm by Frightened Rabbit for some reason, I think it's the opening melody)
oh and you don't have long to wait for this at all
