that contract is such a great embodiment of the montreal mediocrity machine that just never stops running

I love the constant "when healthy" qualifiers for Ryan murray.

Here's some perspective: he has played less NHL games than the guy drafted ahead of him, Nail Yakupov.

Thankfully very very little was given up for him.

 

Don't knowif it was posted but gorton somehow managed a second rounder for Lias Andersson. LA wanted him bad during the draft and his dad is a scout for them so hopefully they have better luck than NY did. Dude was never gonna play in NY, glad we got something out of that first round mistake.

Alex the Pie Man probably isn't happening, unless we move Nylander, which also probably isn't happening, but if we could come out of this with two of Brodie/Savard/Weegar, I'll be fairly pleased.
